"Higher Ground" of the Black Isle

Take a short Coffee break from the scenic Highlands A9

It's a long road, so take some time out from your travels to savour our speciality coffees, home baking, teas and we serve light lunches of delicious filled ciabatta rolls and homemade soup. If you can't stop then keep on the move with a take away coffee, tea or light snack. You can expect a warm and friendly welcome at Higher Ground. Positioned strategically to break your journey wherever your heading for. Tore, the home of Higher Ground, is positioned at the heart of the Black Isle just off the A9 leading to the North, Fortrose, Dingwall, Muir of Ord and, of course, Inverness.

If the weather's good (and it usually is in the Black Isle!) then you can sit in one of our gardens and enjoy your coffee al fresco. Families are welcome - you will find a children's activity corner and lots of games, toys and drawing materials. We are happy to allow dogs to be tethered out side in a shaded area and provide water to keep your precious pet happy too!

A meeting room is available, please contact us for details
